Is it possible to create ad-hoc network so that it can work with ipad for file sharing, internet without buying any other wi fi router or airport/capsule?

Yes. Go to System Prefernces>Sharing>Internet Sharing and set it up. The Help (?) provides good instrucctions for the setup.

Regarding the Airplay computer program, for the link yu provided ist seems to work somewhat but has banner adds. You asked "Does this help the ipad 3"? What do you meean by help. It should work since the iPads support AirPlay.
