My IPad screen is cracked.

I just want to know if it is covered under the year warranty. If not, how much would a screen repair/replacement be? I have seen online repairs for as little as $100, but is that a scam? An Apple guy said you have to replace the whole thing, while another forum the person said Apple will replace one crcked screen under warranty.

If the crack was caused by being dropped or an impact, then it is not covered under the warranty which covers only factory defects. If you have AppleCare+, you can get the iPad replaced for the cost of the deductible ($49 in the US). Otherwise you have to pay Apple's out-of-warranty replacement price:

or have the iPad repaired by a third-party repair shop (after which your warranty will be void).

Regards.
