ipad unable to join network

Received my new iPad, configured it successfully. Used for a couple of hours, then got the "unable to join network" message. Recognizes network, full signal and all other MACs in the house connect without any issues. Reset router, iPad WIFI, on/off, etc.

My original iPad works just fine, but the new one doesn't!

Suggestions?

Have you tried changing the security settings e.g. WEP, WPA, WPA2

It was odd. Worked fine for a few hours last night. Just went in and deleted the network profile entirely, then asked to join another network and manually joined (used WEP security) and am using now... If it had not worked before I might get it, but to work, then simply refuse to join the same network it had been using baffles me. Thanks for the suggestion!

Usually it's because you are not connecting to the internet via wifi.

Look at iOS Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1398

Additional things to try.

Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

Change the channel on your wireless router. Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

I had exactly the same problem. One minute it was picking up our home wifi perfectly, the next minute it was unable to join the network. I tried powering off then back on again with no result. The thing that worked for me was selecting "ignore this network", and then choosing the network again and reloading the password. Worked straight away. Hope this helps someone.
