My daughter had the same problem. Her's totally disappeared. I found where someone told me to try putting in the earbuds and making sure they worked fine. Then I plugged them in and removed them a couple of times and the problem was fixed. She has not had any problems since. Hope this works for you.
I have had the same issue before and have found that it can be the headphone jack, as sw3019 suggest, or the dock connector. Plugging in the headphones may help (note: you may have to do this several times), as Apple has even suggested this in a tip sheet
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1205.
Also cleaning the dock connector with a very soft pipe cleaner or something similar. If dirt gets in the dock connector it may think the dock is connected to a source and not play out of the speaker, only the headphones. I know this can be very annoying.
Hope this helps.
people i have same problem with my new 4s from 2 months and the solve problem was in a video on internet
,use program iexplorer and conect iphone then ,go to system , library and then "launch daemon" and delete com.apple.iapd.plist and problem are 100% solved .
Yo guys here is a way to solve it! if you have 4s, just simply ask siri to play a song or all songs and it will play out of the built in speaker. Afterwards the missing volume bar should come back. This worked for me, try it out!
hi,
just clean the charing dock with a pecie of paper and it works ..
After spending 45 min. trying to fix this on my phone, I saw a posting to throw it onto the carpet...something with the static possibly? It worked!!!
If you are still having this issue, make sure the iPhone is NOT docked into a speaker and NOT connected to any bluetooth device. Third party devices that the phone connect to to play music often have their own volume controls and disable the on-screen slider.
I really appreciate your post and you explain each and every point very well. Thanks for sharing this information. And I'll love to read your next post too. | |
