Allan,
Thanks for reply. I do know what Photo Stream is supposed to do, and I am learning the side effects -- which do not suit my needs. I'm trying to figure out the process of updating three iPhoto libraries and keeping my iOS devices from constantly filling up now that I have Photo Stream enabled.
I have multiple OS X devices -- workhorse MacBookPro 15" and underutilized MacMini running v10.6.8, and everyday MacBookAir 13" running v10.7.4 -- and I have multiple iOS devices -- iPhone 4s and iPad I running iOS 5.1.1, and 2 iPodTouch running iOS 3.1. I also have the hockey puck AppleTV and successfully use AirPlay from the Lion machine.
I take photos with both the iPhone and a Canon digital. Wife and I travel a fair amount and have a library of over 14,000 pics on iPhoto. We have many, many opportunities to show photos, new AND OLD on the mobile devices as well as both Macs.
I use the Mini infrequently and may sell it now that Lion now has AirPlay Video to AppleTV.
Our master iPhoto Library is on the Pro; the Air has most but not all the same photos, but now also has some not yet in the Master library due to Snow Leopard inoperability with iCloud/PhotoStream. I've moved the iOS iTunes sync files over to the Air, and hope to merge the three iPhoto Libaries, but I need to spend less time on my technology and more with my peeps, so that will have to wait. The Air unfortunately has a version of iPhoto that I don't like (Info panel so wide it obscures what I need to see).
Would you have any suggestions for simplification?
