Why iPad 2 + iOS 6 no longer supports Siri?

A few months ago I bought my iPad2 + WIFI -3G and I'm very happy with the performance of my iPad and now I see the brand new presentation of the iOS6 and in small letters it says that only Siri will be available for iPhone4s and New iPad, FaceTime over 3G will not be available for iPad2 Skype works fine on wifi and 3 G will continue using skype for that.....

I am disillusioned with Apple.

You can't "lose" features you never had. The iPad 2 is a fine machine and it will continue to operate for a long time. Same of the original iPad. It is unlikely that features you have now will be discontinued in future versions of the iOS. But we can all expect that as the iOS continues to grow and provide additional services that the older machines simply will not support the more advanced features.

I'm not sure if ther is much if any different from the processor that the 4s comes equipped with and the one in the iPad 2. Just like when the iPad came out. The inside revealed a space for a camera. And when the iPad 2 came out... It came equipped with a less than on par camera to the iphone 4 wich was previously launced...Sometimes I feel apple keeps certain features out so customers have more of an initiative to buy and upgrade.

Siri requires a technology called Audience. Apple pays a royalty on each iOS device that has it. The iPhone 4 and the iPad 2 do not have this technology. The iPhone 4S has the technology. Obviously the new iPad also has it.

The Siri requirements have been easy to identify. The above is the best explanation for that. They have not rolled Siri out to any device that does not have that.

Required or desirable? The iPhone 4 has a dedicated audience chip whereas the 4s has it integrated due to intellectual property liscensing that ended last December. All that technology really allows for is more accurate voice processing at arm length range. Many people have Siri working well even on their iPod touches... Wich makes me wonder how much of a requirement it really is. I can understand the part about paying royalties for the audience licensing...but I've seen many iPhone 4's manage Siri just as fast as the 4s models... Even with respect to their extra core.
