Why Does Siri Sound Funny?

Siri is generated server side, so the quality of the voice could be reduced depending on the demand.

Do a reset (Hold Sleep/Wake and Home buttons about 10 secs or more till Apple logo appears)

Note: You will not lose any data.

Also make sure that you have a strong/stable connection to the internet. Make sure that connection to the server side is good.

My british male siri always sounded robotic. But 2 days ago the female us siri started to sound robotic. i tried everything pushing home buton+wake sleep button to restart it. tried restoring via itunes and everything nothing.Today it just dissapeard it self, last night i kept all night on airplane mode. now it works fine.

Hi all..... finally.. problem solved.

I too had this problem with Siri'S voice sounding "woolly"

I went to the apple store and they too were at a loss.

So I went home and worked it out for myself.

In short, when the phone puts a Load on the processor such as a download or backup, it causes the voice to loose clarity. Once the downloading or backing up is complete dear Siri is back to it's clear old self. I do hope this helps.

Thank you. I got scared when my siri lost its human voice. It was downloading the male accent when I checked. I tried talking to him again after reading this he was normal again
