How do I delete history from iPad

History of what?

If you are talking about your Safari Web History, go to Settings > Safari > Clear History

Are you talking browsing history? Settings, Safari, Clear History.

or an eaiser/ quicker way is in safari, just click the book at the bottom of the screen, then go into the history folder, then just click clear at the bottom left. Its faster than going to the settings page.

I have an IPad 2 and have tried all the suggestions above plus others. None of them worked. I was successful clearing my browsing history by:

Go to Settings

Click on General

Click on Spotlight Search

Uncheck any category that you do not want showing in your browsing history

I unchecked all

This cleared all my browser history :-)

Yep, that works. This can be really irritating on iPhone as well. Sometimes when you go into the Safari search field (which uses Google) previous browsing appears, despite having cleared browsing history and cookies. I solved it by typing a word into the search field and then back spacing. A list of potential searches comes up. Scroll down and at the bottom it says 'clear history', click on 'clear history' and on 'OK, and you can clear. It may take several attempts as my browsing list was really long. Hope this helps!

Also, on the ipad mini that I use if your using the messaging program you can tap the actual messages that you sent and received for some more options, and one will say delete complete conversation. Using the safari browser you go to settings, safari and on right hand side scroll to bottom to clear history and cookies

If your talking about Safari browsing history. This same thing happened to me.

It turned out to be a Restriction Setting for Safari. Go to Settings\General\Restrictions\ALLOWED CONTENT: Websites. Make sure 'All Websites' are allowed. If not, Safari won't let you clear the History.
