I'm very worried. I reset my iPad 2, and its been stuck on the apple logo for 20 minutes now. What the **** is going on?! WORRIED.

Do you mean that you did a reset to remove all content, or a 'soft-reset' (i.e. reboot) ?

If a 'soft-reset', then have you tried doing it again ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), and see if it reboots properly.
I did a soft reset i.e. hold sleep and home button because the iPad was running a lil' slow for my liking. It's simply stuck on the apple logo.
Can't understand why it's doing this. Tried resetting again. Screen goes off, then back on to Apple logo.
Will recovery mode erase all data?

It will put the iPad into a state where you should be able to try restoring from your last backup.
Please read the Additional Information note at the bottom of the link I gave. If you have a previous backup in either iTunes or iCloud then you can restore from that backup.

Got it into recovery mode... looks like I'm gonna lose all my content which was on it 😟 Don't usually backup. Foolish of me.
You learn the hard way! You can download any missing apps for free again using the ID under which they were purchased.

Luckily there wasn't anything of major importance on there, but obviously it's a shlep to have to redownload everything now. Ugh. It's also part-in-part to do with the fact that my current computer is something outta the stone age. I wish I had a Macbook to compliment the iPad... 😟
Exuse me I'm aware that you resolved this issuse, but I was wondering how you did it? I have the same exact problem that you are having and I'm trying to fix it. I would greatly appreciate if you could help me out and tell me how you got your iPad to work again. Thank you so much!!
