I am in Canada, and my iPhone 4 went for an unintended bath. Telus is going to charge me $550 for the new iPhone 4s, so if there is a cheaper option I'd love to go for that. I just need to know a) the cost, and b) how long I can expect to be without my phone. I did re-order one from Telus, so I'd like advice and fast since I will likely have to cancel that order.

I don't know how it is in Canada, but I would have looked at a local classified ads website for a cheaper option. I think even Ebay is cheaper than that.
I live in a town of less than 5,000 people, that is a full day's drive from the nearest urban center. I can't take time off work, so I don't have the option of going to view one for sale (none available here). I'd be loath to buy a used one online sight unseen, as I've heard too many horror stories.
