my ipohne 4 will not show up in my new itunes on my new macbook pro. i have not updated in awhile but since i got new computer i decided to link them. I cant even get it to show up in itunes. HELPP!! any advice will be helpful thanks.

Since you got a new MBP, does it have Lion or Mountain Lion, and what version of iTunes?
If current it should see the iPhone. If it will not, try attaching in recovery mode, start iTunes, connect the USB end of the cable, then while holding the home button on the iPhone connect the dock connector end of the cable to the iPhone...should put it in recovery mode and iTunes should then see it.
Don't go to restore from backup since you don't have that on this computer. You can backup and update the iOS.
