Iphone 4 stuck after ios6 update
After updating to iOS 6 my Iphone 4 is stuck. I can't do a manual restart because my lock button is broke. Anyone else having this problem?

My iPhone4S is stuck as well. It looks like it's trying to boot and can't. There is no update after more than a half hour on the progress bar, so it appears that something didn't go correctly during the update to iOS 6. It does not appear usable at this point. I guess I'll try to hook it up to iTunes and see if it can be recovered.
I'm seeing the same thing.
Wow, I stopped it by holding the Home & On/Off key together, then On again, and after about 10 minutes, it finally booted into iOS 6. This seems odd to me...and very unApple-like.
Same experience here. 4S. 30+ minutes with Apple logo and progress bar with no progress. I'm plugged in and going to wait it out.
I'm having the issue- stuck on Apple logo and empty progress bar.
Finally started moving- looks like there is a long prep process before it starts measuring progress. One of those times you'd like an animated icon to show it isn't locked up!
mine did this two, then after 30 mins and with me just about to give up it snapped out of it finished. seems ok now
Home & on/off worked for me. Only took about a min after restart. Thanks
On a different thread, a user posted that after about an hour the stuck progress bar started moving and finished up fairly quickly thereafter. I'm been waiting about an hour myself with seeminly no movement.
Mine finished after 35 minutes. The progress bar never moved. I assume its an installer bug, as the installation worked.
I had a hard reset then it worked after 10 min. The status bar did not move.
Holly smolly batman it's been more than half an hour and as many have indicated there has been no movement of the progress bar. Guess I will wait it out since most folks seem to be saying it works eventually.
it will move. Just have a margarita and relax!
Same here. No progress for about half an hour and then the bar went from 0%-100% in ~3 minutes. All good.
After 2 hours of no movement on the progress bar (that was about 25% complete) I forced it to reboot and it finished fine. I might restore it just to be safe.
Going on two hours now, with the boot screen progress bar stopped at around 90-95%. I'd like my phone back. đ
