AppStore won't search on IPad3 After IOS 6 upgrade

I have the same problem. I just purchased a new iPad today. The first thing I did was upgrade to iOS 6. Then I spent most of the day searching for and installing apps. Then it suddenly stopped working. I've restarted my iPad and still get no results when searching even for things I was finding earlier.

Same problem here. Yesterday I upgraded to IOS 6. Today, I was downloading and installing apps until about an hour ago on the New Ipad 3 and it just stopped working and now will not allow me to search for apps or bring up search results. I also tried to do a hard reboot and tried changing the restrictions, but nothing worked so far.

I have the same problem. I have ipad 2 and updated to OS 6 and the search won't work either. I resettled the iPad 3 times and still nothing going on. I think it may be a glitch on the OS system. I am really starting to hate OS6.

Same problem also - ipad 2 updated to OS6. No part of App Center will work for me except Genius (which I turned on yesterday after discovered that the rest of app center did not work). I've tried all fixes except for a hard reset but nothing has worked so far.

Last night I also got stuck in an infinite loop of accepting Apples Terms and Conditions when trying to update the apps I already have. That resolved itself spontaneously. Related issues?

Mine just started working again late on Friday after being without the search function for most of the afternoon on Friday. I don't recall doing anything to fix it. I do recall switching the iPad to Airplane mode and then back to normal. Then wondering if it has something to do with my WiFi network (I've been having problems with it), I decided to try a different network. I fired up my Verizon MiFi hot-spot and connected to it. I was then able to search the App Store with no issue. I disconnected from the MiFi hot-spot and back to my normal WiFi network and was still able to search the App Store. I have no clue what changed, but I've been working fine since.

I am having the same problem. After installing iOS 6 on my iPad 3rd Generation I can no longer search within the App Store. When I type something in the search field and press "return" or select any of the recommended results the window just stays white. No results!

I found a fix that worked for me. I turned on airplane mode, then reset my wifi router, then turned off airplane mode and was able to search again. Hope that helped

Same here, but with iPhone 5, so it came with iOS 6 already installed, no upgrade.

Tried shutdown the iphone and switch it on again, and also hard reset (home + top button) - nothing helped.

Also tried the Reset Network Settings option.

Went to Apple Store, but all they said was to do compelete restore...

That was the answer I got last time I had a problem, when I restored the iphone and lost all the photos (even that everything was backed up to iCloud. Bad advice...

So, I guess we're ****** by Apple again. Waiting for the next OS update.

I think you're right...we're all ****** by Apple...iOS is probably the worst update EVER...

Does anyone know anything about an upcoming update??

The weird thing is as soon as "search" stopped working...suddenly the "purchased" option in App Store started working again while it was off since i updated to iOS 6 !! Strange things happen 😝
