Is your App Store experience slow after iOS 6 upgrade?

Here are the scenarios I find to be very slow:

1. going to update section and clicking on update all which will update 20+ apps at the same time and App Store becomes unusable

2. Go to charts section and now select a category, you will see 3 columns of apps just try scrolling up/down on one of the columns. I find the UI to be very poorly responding to tracking my finger. This reminds me of using samsung galaxy tab 10.1 on android 3.x which had horrible UI responsiveness.

I'm on iPad 3rd generation. I didn't expect this iPad to buckle under these changes seems like the App Store needs more optimization a for sure.

I would like to see fewer apps in the App Store at any given time if performance can be increased.

Also when updating 20+ apps which causes massive slow downs the iOS needs to throttle how many apps are updated at once.

Just don't know how this stuff slipped Apple QA testing, it seems like a common use case scenario. I really hope the optimize this, because it reduces the gap in UI responsiveness performance between iPad iOS6 and Samsung galaxy tab 10.1 + ICS android 4.x.

I'm having the same prolem. App Store is not responding the same way as it used to do with iOS 5.

I have the iPad 3rd generation too. It used to work perfectly with iOS 5. I wish Steve was still alive.. he wouldn't wouldn't have publish the new laggy version...

Saw this on another post.

Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it! It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.

In the meantime ...........

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

This works for some users. Not sure why.

Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year. Then see if you can connect to the store.

 Cheers, Tom 😉
