ipad frozen during icloud backup

received an icloud backup messag on ipad 2, with choices to ignore or go to settings. Everything is frozen, no buttons work and cant even power off the ipad.

Try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot

i'm having the same problem too...what to do if my sleep/wake up button doesn't work anymore...i had tried the "lock screen" on the assistive touch, it doesn't work as well...

please help...thanks
