After updating my iphone 4 to iOS6 it won't turn on. The apple logo keeps flashing on a black screen - as it does when it's about to load, then never does load. What to do?

Does it ever get to a screen that tells you to plug it into iTunes?
Sounds like your upgrade got corrupted.
Hold down Power on/off and home button at same time, when apple logo appears again release.
If still have same problem force recovery mode restore with iTunes, set up as new first making sure phone goes to home screen.
If all good - restore from back up

i have tried everything i held the home and wake button for a while and still nothing my phone just stopped going on after i installed the ios6 update what else can i do i also tried the itunes recovery but its not recognizing my device because it wont go on
