My ipad does not work after IOS 6 update

So my 400$ investment into my iPad 2 is basically broken after the update. Oh, it will turn off and on, but if I want to make use of the WI-FI my ipad is useless. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have already done all resets/restores, for network, all content, etc. It is NOT my WI-FI connection, I am on my NON-APPLE laptop and my wi-fi is working perfectly, streaming video and everything. Trying to connect to my wi-fi on my iPad is impossible usually takes 15 minutes to connect, or is impossible. Trying to get in the app store worked once, and now still continues to be a problem. I really need the iPad to make video calls, and would like to use this 400$ investment, and not let it sit around and collect dust. I NEED this iPad, and no it is useless on all aspects, even after resetting it. Why release an update for certain devices if all it is going to do is cause headaches and problems? I don't understand why it is acceptable to do something like that, and have no type of solution for those who cannot even use their Apple products. I downloaded update on my iphone 4, and it is fine. All the sudden I download it on my iPad and I cannot catch a break. I have no idea what to do know, I though resetting everything would be a solution, but that is not the case. I am still having issues. I really do need HELP! I don't know what to do, and I am out of things to try. I JUST WANT MY IPAD BACK, NOT A SKELETON VERSION OF IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Additional things to try.

Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
