my iphone 4s (which I updated to IOS 6 last week and haven't had any problems with) says it's charging but wont charge. I have tried various outlets and various chargers including plugging it into a computer for at least a half hour each and it still says that it's charging but it's not 😟

Can you possibly try another cord, or try charging it from a computer?
Also, keep in mind that your iPhone is still under warrenty, so if you are still having issues you can go to your local Apple store for support.

Yeah I tried two different chargers and tried charging it from a computer, and it still wont charge. I have an appointment at the apple store tomorrow at 5pm I was just hoping that I could get this figured out sooner because I need my phone for work/life 😟 thanks for the reply
Have you tried resetting your device by pressing and holding the Home button and power button until the silver apple appears?
yeah, tried that a few times for at least 10-15 seconds and it didn't work 😟
