How do you get street view in maps on an ipad3?

If you mean a 3D view of buildings like the Empire State Building or the Hancock then you need to go to a bigger city that has bigger buildings in it and slide up simultaneously with 2 fingers and it will go into 3D mode. Houses are not big enough to get the 3D view from if that's what your trying to view. Good Luck!

They've also replaced street view with the 3D feature.

Google maps (maps.google.com) does work with safari and includes the street view.
