Hello,
does anybody know whether the new iPad mini features a touch recognition area smaller than the 10" iPad? Current styluses are really thick because of the 5mm (is it 5mm?) restriction of iPad's display.
If iPad mini is aimed at portability, I would fine reasonable to adapt that limitation to the newer physical dimensions of the screen.
Anybody can comment on this?

That would be awesome if they did reduce this required touch area. I'm guessing that would be more of a software change and the mini runs on th same OS as the iPhone and full-sized iPads.
This would make 3rd party iPad styluses much more user-friendly wouldn't wouldn't cost Apple a thing. Fingers would still work… it's a great idea but as far as I know no such changes have occurred yet.

Stylus functionality on the mini is very likley to be identical to the current iPads. Use of styluses on iOS is a very low priority for Apple, and has been been since the beginning.
I definitely noticed that the sensitivity is different.
Different only because I have other devices and they act a bit different.
I found my stylus working great in one app but not another.
