display size issue w/ IOS 6.01 on iPhone 4

Since the 6.01 update, sometimes the screen display gets too large for the phone - basically, to tall. It appears that the image is sized for an iPhone 5, but there's not enough real estate on a 4 to accomodate it. When this occurs, I have to reboot the phone. Is this a bug or a feature?
