Hi my iPad 3 screen cracked very easily I was surprised. Is this covered under warranty? How can I fix it?

Only if you can convince Apple that the screen was faulty to begin with. You will have to take it an Apple Store or contact Apple and explain it to them. Normally cracked glass would appear to be accidental damage to just about a nobody that looks at the device and accidental damage is not covered under the standard warranty.

You will have to contact Apple and work it out with them.

User-caused damage is not covered by the factory warranty. If you have AppleCare+ on the iPad, the cost for replacement will be relatively minimal; $49 in the US. Otherwise, see the Repair Pricing section here:

There are independent iPad repair services that may be able to replace the screen for less. Do a web search for "ipad repair". Note, though, that if you elect to have the iPad serviced by an unauthorized shop, you will get no further support from Apple.

If the screen on any ipad, iphone or ipod is cracked then this is not covered by apples warranty and apple will not exchange the device for a new one, there is a small amount of cases where the person taking the ipad into apple with cracked screen have managed to get it replaced but i wouldnt bank on them making a habbit of it.

i broke my ipad and went in to apple for a repair and they wanted £249 which i did not have a the time so i found a company based in the uk called Apple Repair Centre which managed to repair my ipad all for £75.

if you own an ipad buy an otterbox case the a virtually indestructable in otterbox cases.
