iPhone standard weather app is not accessin local weather

i have the same issue and i'm from mexico city... its started this morning 😢

I'm in Arizona, and my weather app will not get past updating on my iPhone 5 with iOS 6.0.1. Won't update on my wife's 4S either. It seems to only be the local weather that uses the location service that just sits at updating and won't load the weather info.

Local Weather not updating here in England either on iPhone 5, iOS 6.0.1

Could be something to do with servers. Not too sure though.

Although, adding my town manually and not using local weather seems to work.

Local weather not updating for Santa Cruz either. iPhone 5/6.0.1. First noticed around 8pm on 11/19/12.

I am in Vancouver, i am having the same problem in Iphone 5. no local weather, just say"updating" at the bottem of the screen. it started last night.

but shown location is right.

Hi, same problem here, noticed it this morning, local weather won't appear even though it says "updating"...

I have the same problem in my iphone 5 here in Portugal

Same problem with iphone 5 in Miami, FL since yesterday evening. No local weather, just says "updating" at the bottom of the screen. It appears frozen! My other citys are working though. Turned the phone off/on...no help. Any word on a fix?

No problem in Choteau Montana.

There have been a number of posts regarding this problem today. The weather data comes from Yahoo, and that would be the cause of the issue. I wouldn't know when that could be corrected. You might want to try checking on a Yahoo forum to see if they are acknowledging the problem.

I'm having the same problem here in Carlsbad, CA. I'm on the phone with Apple and they are saying Yahoo is having issues - which doesn't really explain why it's only the "local" weather and not the other cities on my phone. Like all of you, it started this morning for me.

I tried turning on/off my phone, hard restart, and resetting my settings (anything to not resort to restoring it). Nothing worked. So I don't think it is a phone issue and more of a network issue.
