my iPhone 4S will not connect to iTunes since my update

Since I updated my iPhone 4S to 6.0 and my iTines to 10.6.1 (7) and my operating system to 10.6.8 I cannot get iTunes to recognize that my phone is connected. It all worked fine before the uopdate. What do I do??? P.s it works with a PC but I do not have my own PC i borrowed one for testing purposes.
