i just recently bought iphone 5 and unlocked it !!
when i plug into itunes it says congratualtion !! you iphone has been unlocked.....but when i put my sim card in for Family Mobile (t-mobile) it says no service !!
can someone help me out please

Which country did you purchase the phone in?
Not to state the obvious, but have you activated the t-mobile account? Check with the carrier to ensure that the account is active, then insert the sim card and do another restore. That may resolve your issue.

yeah i activated my account and all that.... i am putting my sim card in other phone and works just fine as soon as i put it in iphone it shows no service !!
T-Mobile is honestly the best place to get support for this. Now that it is unlocked and you are using an unsupported carrier it is up to you two to get the phone connected to their network.
Also, does T-Mobile have Micro SIMs? a cut SIM card may not work if your are trying that.
and not only with my sim card its not reading no sim card !! i dont know why help me out here....i restored like 10 times, restarted it, airplane mode and all that troubleshooting techniques nothing works.....i even changed my sim card but still it stuck on "no service"
how did you get a carrier to agree to unlock your iphone 5 this quickly after its launch ?
yeah i am trying a cut sim card....but i am putting other ATT nano sim that not working either !!
Call T-Mobile.

and then Call T-Mobile.
Check and see if Tmobile can see your device in their network.
If they cannot, that means your device is not connected to their network. So, with that being said, try restoring the device in itunes.
If you purchased the iPhone 5 in the US, which country are you trying to use it in?
This will be the problem, as an iPhone 5 purchased from the US is not truly unlocked, so you might get no service when you put the sim card in.
Actually ethmoid, Verizon iphone 5's are unlocked đ.
Technically, and officially, only for international use đ. Not to say that it doesn't work on domestic GSM networks.
Okay, but the OP stated something about inserting an AT&T nano sim and AT&T phones from the US are not unlocked?

Real quick question, you unlocked it or had the carrier who it was locked to unlocked it? If it is not an authorized unlock by the carrier it may not actually work.
An iPhone checks its activation profile against Apple's activation server first. So, if this wasn't done properly, I doubt it's going to work.
