Ipad mini won't connect to wifi 2.4ghz, but all is work in 5ghz

Hello.

When I connected to wi-fi network, I had to access the Internet not longer than 1 minute, and later unable to access to Internet. Same situation with any spot, which I try to connected.

Only at home, if I turn my wi-fi router to 5ghz mode - my ipad mini is work good, but if I turn router to 2.4ghz mode, than I connect to wi-fi network, but Internet don't work. And wi-fi signal strength is low I weak periodically. It's same situation how in any wi-fi spots in city.

is it possible that I have faulty module Wifi mode 2.4ghz?

I buy ipad mini in USA, but now I live in Prague (Czech republic).

What can I solve this problem?

Some things to try first:

1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)

• Launch Settings app

• Tap on Wi-Fi

• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list

• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

Hi, I have the same problem, since I updated my iPad 4Gen to iOS version 6.1. Additionally I found that the iPad fails to connect to radios B / G / N (2.4 GHz), while if you connect to radios A / N (5 GHz) everything works fine.

When I had the version of iOS 6.0.1 everything worked fine, and now I can not downgrade my iPad.

Tell me if you found a solution.

Thank you.

I am also having problems with my time capsule now connecting to 2.4ghz channel via my Iphone 4 and my wifes Iphone 4.

Everything is fine on both our Ipads (3rd and 4th Gen) and also my Macbook Pro and 3rd Gen apple TV.. updated to latest airport utility a few days ago (6.2) and everything seemed fine until this evening?

Did we find a fix for this kind of problem? i have tried all the obvious suspect fixes... So basically everything that connects to the 5ghz channel does so and seems fine (if anything is quicker via 5ghz than ever before) just the 2.4ghz channel enabled devices seem nil service via Wifi

thanks in advance for any input 😀
