Ipad 2 32gb 3G mic not working

Hi I have a apple iPad 2 32GB 3G running iOS 6.0.1

The mic has stopped working on FaceTime , videos and all other apps

I notice that when I played recored videos back they were not that loud on full volume

I have connected iPad to iTunes and done a back up then restore to factory setting

But mic still not working

So if I brought a new mic and take the digitizer off would I have to buy a new 1 off could I put it back on if I buy some adhesive strips would it be ok

iPad 2, iOS 5.1.1

Do you still have warranty? If so, do not buy any parts or attempt to repair it yourself as that will void the warranty. In fact, you may not even be eligible for out of warranty pricing if something goes wrong.

Hi yes I have warranty plus apple care plan but I don't have the ipad receipt or care plan receipt as my friend gave me the ipad

The warranty is associated with the iPad and not the owner. Just take it in and they will get the serial number, and see that its under warranty.

For got to tell but the ipad and the bottom near the home button there is a green line about 1-2cm going across the screen then slowly fade away do u no what might cause that

If they're going to replace your iPad anyway for mic issues, then that will take care of the line issues, too 🙂
