Why google maps app does not show in the app store when searched?

AFAIK, US store only, at the present time:

I found it in the App Store on my iPhone. Wasn't at the top of the listing though. Will be soon as more folks download the app.

I want donwload in my peruvian apple store but i cant' do it....please help!!

It's available here in Canada. I didn't find it at first either. It did not come up when searching for google maps but it showed when searching 'googlemap' as one word. Who knows.

Google Maps still not available in Malaysian iTunes Store. Why Apple did not release the app worldwide?

It's not up to Apple. It's up to Google. ask them.

well is it possible to change stores then? I first started my Apple adventure in Malaysia but I'm living in Australia now. Wonder why is it so hard for me to change stores.

settings > itunes and app stores > tap on your apple id > view apple id > change country/region
