Wifi on my Ipad mini has become very poor post ios upgrade to 6.0.2

Hi all,

After the launch of ios 6.0.2, I have upgraded my ipad mini. Since then, the wifi strength on my ipad has gone down. Earlier, the youtube video used to play very smoothly but now most of the time it goes into buffering mode. Is any one else having the same problem...

When i try to play the same video on my laptop or my blackberry mobile, i always get smooth video flow, that means i do not get buffering circles...

Guys, please help me..

In all the article, it says that ios 6.0.2 fixes the bug related to the wifi, but with this upgrade my connectivity has gone very poor

I have Fios and Actiontec MI424 WR-Rev D. Ipad3 ipad mini and iphones 4, 4S and 5 had all been connecting without any problems.

Updated iOS to 6.0.2 two days ago and after that the connection speed is very slow (download 1mbps and upload <1mbps) even though iphone 4s had 12/10 download/upload. Moving 1 floor up from the router leads to disconnection of wifi.

Exactly the same problem, isolated to ipad mini, at my place of work.

Called support, after trying everything else listed here and other forums. Unable to help. Went in to the store today and got it exchanged. LUCKILY the replacement is running 6.0 and connects without a problem.

I am not upgrading to 6.0.2. Clearly there is a problem with the upgrade. Apple should acknowledge (at the bare minimum) and respond.

I was very excited to get my new iPad mini, until I got it. After just two days, I had to contact apple with the same issues regarding wifi. I tried everything: master reset on router, release new ip, restored my iPad mini through the iPad and then iTunes. I'm extremely frustrated and very disappointed in apple. One would expect the best of the best after paying a high price for this device, but I was wrong!!

My videos on YouTube and elsewhere constantly buffer. I have to constantly refresh my web browser or the page im trying to load in order for it to completely load. Web pages either load 15-20% of the way or if the page loads, it will not finish loading by 15-25%. I'm super ****** about these wifi problems to the point that I'm sick and tired of this ongoing issue!

Please apple fix this problem, otherwise I have no other option than to return my device! I swear tht I will never get another apple device if this issue isn't resolved soon!

I don't understand why apple is so quick or in a rush to release a new product, if it isn't perfected.

I'm really beginning to change my views about apple. I think they're getting much more sloppier with their work, and that they're only concern is about keeping their popularity and name on top of headlines, by releasing products every 6-12 months. This may be about consumerism or whatever,

but it's not fair especially to those of us who are most loyal to apple!

If ios 6.0.3 doesn't fix these wifi issues, I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER APPLE PRODUCT EVER AGAIN!!

Please do something, if apple even reads these discussions!

My original Mini had 6.0 on it when purchased. I installed 6.0.1 then 6.0.2 as they came out. 6.0.2 was the problem for me, ended my ability to use wifi (anywhere). Very frustrating.

The replacement had 6.0.2 already installed out of the box ... Everything is OK now. So, it might have been hardware (doubt it), don't know ... But when it's working fine prior to a software upgrade, then not at all after, you have to say it's a software problem. Apple does not acknowledge the problem since there has been no patch released.

Take your Mini back, get a new one.

I am having the same problem. I'm not sure when it started but I think after updates to 6.0.2. I frequently lose wifi and have to reboot the ipad to get it back...or it will just load extremely slowly. I received it for Christmas as a gift. Could I just take it to an Apple store to get service and see if there is a problem (without a receipt)? Is there a way to go back to the original version of iOS?

This is all a moot point now with the release of 6.1 a week ago. Apple may not have aknowledged any of our concerns (getting more like MIcrosoft now -- always seemed to have better Customer Service when "The Steve" was still with us). But perhaps this is their way: fix the problem without aknowledging it exists -- alarming potential buyers -- but there were far too many bugs with 6.0.2.

Since my iPad Mini was replaced with a new one, two weeks ago, I have had no issue of any kind -- ran 6.0.2 until upgrading to 6.1 this past week. Try the update, if that doesn't work (any nothing posted above worked for me, justmade me more frustrated), take it back! Demand a replacement (but the problem is software).

Okay so I have the ipad 4 ios6.1.3

Recently had two problems.

Problem 1- ipad would not connect to wireless router so internet was unaccessible.

I resetted the router and got a new ip and bam the ipad is up and running again.

Problem #2, router at home would send out a wireless signal and all bars would be full but the ipad could not seem to connect to server.

I went to check this on my computer and sure enough internet was working but the server would not connect so I had no internet access.

I tried resetting my wireless router which made no changes.

Saw that there were a few attacks on the server by an unknown agent and it immediately sent up firewalls.

This automatically shut down my server for protection.

So I resetted my devices. I resetted my networks from my ipad.

I turned it on and off.

Closed all apps.

Unplugged my router and replugged.

Resetted my router, changed sdid and password.

And that seemed to do it surprisingly.

Honestly I didn't think it would work.

But my internet is working and immediately my ipad started responding.

Hope that helps.

Worked for me.

Wifi on my Ipad mini has become very poor post ios upgrade to 6.0.2
