Facebook app crashes on launch. Help?

I have an older iPad thatis not eligible for an iOS 6 update. The problem didn't start until a couple of days ago and I didn't do any updates or new installs to trigger the problem's start. I've tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling it as well as just powering the iPad on and off again and neither have worked. Anyone have any insight on fixing this problem?

It has also been a bit finicky about crashing out of apps every once and a while, mainly the Dolphin browser. That problem isnt too persistent though, but if anyone has some advice as to why it's doing that it would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried a full system reboot?

I did what I think is rebooting it (holding the hold and home button down until the red slider appears, then "powering off" and waking it back up after) or are you talking about a restore?

Close the Facebook app on the Task Bar and re-launch.

1. Double-click the Home button to reveal Task Bar

2. Hold Facebook app down for a second or two until you see the minus sign

3. Tap the minus sign to close app

4. Tap area above Task Bar to return to Home screen

1. Close all inactive apps in the Task Bar. Double-click the Home button and hold apps down for a second or two and tap the minus sign to close app.

2. Try a reset. Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple Logo

This issue is being widely reported on Facebook and other websites. My wife 1st gen iPad has the same issue. Just have to wait for an update from Facebook.
