Google map app update for IPAD??

Does anyone know when the the google maps App will be updated and available for the IPAD, since the Iphone update has been completed. thanks

While not native the iPhone version can be run on an iPad just fine.

Google's YouTube app was originally iPhone-only, but they made an iPad version about a month later. It's safe to assume that Google will do the same with its Maps app.
