Iphone 4 - charging not supported with this accessory: anyone know how to fix this?

Use the power adapter that came with your iPhone. Make sure both ends of the connectors you are using are clean as well as the sockets they plug into.

If you are using a computer's USB port, it must be a "high power" port. Try another.

Just started yesterday this problem. I've tried everything, ipad orginal charger, iphone original charger, connected to the computer, connect to iTune with and without flight mode. Nothing. Doesn't charge, msg always appears. For sure it's not the connector, because it always shows for a few seconds that it's charging and then the msg comes again. Also, it syncs with itunes, so it's connecting. HELP!
