iPad 2 turning black while running in kiosk mode

We are a company relying on in-store iPad kiosks on which our application is running. We bought a new iPad 2 and installed a kiosk app (kiosk pro I believe it is called) that locks users into only using the application they are supposed to use. For some reason the iPad is turning "black" (not turning off, screen just turns black) after some time. Does anyone have experience with this and why it happens? The auto-lock is turned off so this shouldn't happen.

Please help.

KioskPro is a very heavy app with lots of features. It should be able to solve your problems, and what you probably have is a sleep timer set on the app that puts it to sleep during certian hours. As a manufacturer of in-store iPad kiosks and software developer, I suggest first you look at the settings of the app and see if that is it.

Next try just using Apples free Guided Access to make the kiosk: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=6ptqMaEeMmI

And last, we make a VERY easy to use and simple kiosk mode app https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/mobile-kiosk/id570781537?mt=8 video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=_11rDn6NOVc
