iphone 5 icon at top of screen..............HELP PLEASE!!!!

i have an iphone 5 and noticed about a week ago that i have a black arrow with a white outline at the top of the screen as if i have an app constantly connected, i definatey haven't. has anyone else noticed this, if so, please tell me what its for as i know it didn't used to be there.....PLEASE HELP!!!!!..... thanks

Check your reminders... one could have a location based setting.
