why do some of my text message show green and not blue when sent?

Blue = iMessage, sent through Apple servers.

Green = SMS, sent through your carrier, when iMessage is not available.

Thanks! Is there standard reasons that iMessage is not available?

The person you are messaging also needs to have iMessage set up, and both of you need a good connection. iMessage is not available in all areas.
