bought "OEM Apple EarPods with Remote And Mic Latest Model for iPhone 5

Planned to use these with an iPod Touch 4G and iPad 2, perhaps an iPhone 4S also. The earbuds (came in small generic clear plastic bag, still unopened; seller also mentioned UPC#331515811011) look identical to pics I've seen of the latest generation EarPods, but googling the 'DTX23670VXF2' stamped on the cable came up with NO Google hits, making me a bit suspicious. eBay fraud or no? Thanks for any opinions offered by someone who has the new EarPods...
