I need help ASAP. My iPad is connected to a new charger and it won't charge. Everything is connected correctly to a wall outlet. It says it's charging, but the battery percentage is decreasing. Is there anything I can do to correct this issue?

Turn the iPad OFF and charge it overnight. Post back in the morning.
Thank you for the suggestion, but it did not work. The battery is extremely low now. It still has the lightening bolt like it's charging, but it's not.
What you need to do first is to confirm, without a doubt, that the charger and the cable work normall and will charge something else. If either turn out to be bad, replace them.
If not, about the only thing left for you to try would be a total Restore and, if that doesn't fix things, which seems unlikely, then talk to Apple.
I don't have anything else I can test my charger and cable out on. I will have to wait until I go to work tonight to see if it would charge a friend of mines iPad. If the charger or cable turns out to be the problem, I will replace them again, but if not, how would I go about doing the total restore?
Thank you so much for your help. Evidently the new charger/ cable was defective. I replaced both now I'm back up and running.
