Are you using iTunes version 11.x? Is this a new problem or have you ever synced?

Put the iPad into DFU mode and force iTunes to restore the iPad. Then setup the iPad as a new iPad.


DFU MODE STEPS


  1. Hold the Power Button (3 secs)
  2. Continue holding the power button and also hold the home button (15 secs)
  3. Release the power button while continuing to hold the home button (10 secs)
  4. Your device should prompt with the "Connect to iTunes Screen"

Sorry had to run out last night after my post. I have a couple of screenshots to attach. User uploaded file
Attached are the dashed circles that I get. They don't rotate or spin, they are stationary. but they don't show that it synced. I'll trying restoring it and see what happens. Would it be alright to backup and restore from an iTunes backup?
