my kindle broke, can I transfer my kindle books to my ipad?

My kindle broke and I have books I would like to keep and read. Can I transfer and how do I transfer my books from Amazon to my IPad?

iPad (3rd gen) Wi-Fi + Cellular (VZ)

You won't be able to read ebooks from Amazon in the iBooks app on your iPad (ebooks tend to have digital rights management on them which tie them to the store's own apps/ereaders), but Amazon have their own Kindle app in the store : Kindle app.


You should be able to link the app to your Amazon account and download your Kindle purchases directly in the app (Kindle for iPad help).
