Updating iPhone4s to iOS 6.1.2

When I try to update my iPhone4s to iOS 6.1.2, I get a message:

"Unable to Verify Update

iOS 6.1.2 failed verification because you are no longer connected to the internet"

I am always connected to the internet wirelessly or via 3G but I am being told that I am not connected to the internet!

Please help.

iPhone 4S, iOS 6, SW upgraded from 5 to 6
