During my vacation, my iphone 4 suddenly started draining the battery rapidly and overheating. Yesterday, there was a temperature warning and the phone shut off. Haven't made any changes to the phone except updating to 6.1.3 before I left

Same is happening to me. iPhone 4S will drain and overheat WHILE PLUGGED INTO WALL. Didn't happen before iOS 6.1.3
