2ndgen Apple Tv and remote app

recently I took my apple tv on the road with me hoping to use it at the inlaws. when I got back home and replugged my apple tv back in I could not get the remote app to work with my apple tv. I can access my content on the apple tv on my computer with out any problems and I can access my library from the remote app on my ipad and iphone. but when i go to settings on the app in the phone or ipad and try to turn on home sharing it will not accept my username and password. I have rebooted my airport extreme and the apple tv, computer , iphone , ipad like the support page says to do. when i go to the home sharing on itunes on my mac it list it as my @me account but when i look on the apple tv under setting it list my sharring acount as @mac. I am out of ideas as to what to do
