I want to buy a used iphone and i want to check if it has been blacklisted before buying it. I do not know which carrier was using before.

Eric's link won't help you, as NONE of those sites are reliable. Fact is, carriers are the only reliable way to check whether a phone has been Blacklisted or not...there is no other way to check. So, call your carrier & ask.
Apple doesn't blacklist phones, if you dont know who the carrier is call Apple Care and they can tell you. Once you have that info call the carrier and ask if the phone is blacklisted.
