I am coming to the end of my contract and want to give my iPhone to my son. He is with a different carrier. There are so many different services out there. Can anyone tell me what the best method to unlock my iPhone is?

There is only one way to get any iPhone officially unlocked, and that is through the carrier the phone is locked to. There is no other way to get any iPhone officially unlocked. So, contact your carrier to see if they offer unlocking & what the cost/procedure is.
