My iPad keeps zooming in and out and pushing down on button when I'm not touching them (interactive keyboard)

My iPad keeps doing whatever it wants basically. Every time I go n a game it randomly sys I'm pressing something else when I'm not even touching anything. It also zooms in and out and the screen starts to randomly shake I tried the holding down home button whilst holding down off button but it did not work please help!!
