My new iphone 4 wont let me activate iMessage. Where it says to put in the addresses you want to receive messages on it has my number in a grayed out box and can't be selected. I tried following a guide but it still is the same. Is it an error or are they any suggestions to check what i am doing is right?

I'd say the server is down, because my iMessage is not working either on my iP5.
Just fixed mine. I synced with iTunes and its working now.
