Is there an app that will transfer video from iPhone to iPad

I have looked at about a dozen different threads on this topic and can't seem to find a straight answer to this seemingly simple question. Is there an app that I can get that will transfer video that I shot on my iPhone to my iPad so I can then open it in iMovie to edit it? Most of the apps don't seem to get me to my end result which is to edit video shot on my iPhone in iMovie on my iPad.

OR

Is there a way to use iTunes to download video from my iPhone into iTunes and then upload it from iTunes onto my iPad so that I can edit it using iMovie? I realize the difficulty in this is inherent in the system to keep people from sharing motion pictures but they have it locked down so that I can't move simple home movie type video from one device to another.

Any help on this would be very much appreciated.
