PHone not making ringing sound when calls are coming in
iPhone 4S, iOS 6.1.4
Did you check the position of the mute switch?

No one mentioned a mute button when I purchased the phone, in the quick start, guide or when I was in a chat with Apple help. Such a simple thing that is assumed everyone knows.
