I added an ePub file to my iBooks in iTunes. Now I need to delete this file but cannot figure out how to do this. Can anyone help with this?

In iBooks, to remove them from your bookshelf, tap the Edit button, then select the ones you want gone so they have a check on them, then tap delete (upper left). Let me know if this helps.
I forgot something important to clarify. I am trying to remove the file from my Mac. Your answer was very helpful for the iPad, but I wasn't clear in my question.
Locate the book in your iTunes library. If you have the sidebar on the left it will be under "Books"
If you do not have the sidebar on the left select from the drop down (upper left) "Books"
If you want to reomove the file from the computers hard drive and not just in iTunes Control+Click on your ePub. Select "Show in Finder". Delete the file from the hard drive.
Control+Click on your ePub. Select "Delete"
