iPad locked up

Powered on got the icloud backup window said "unable to access My account". Neither the Ignore or settings button work. Slide to unlock button doesnt work. Tried to power off, but can't reboot, have live screen, but slide off button doesn't work either.


What do I need to do to get my iPad to work?

Hold down both the home button and the power button until the screen goes black. Keep holding until the Apple logo comes on.
